Have any questions on buying a phone?
Buying a Smartphone
It’s difficult to pack all of the functionality of a PDA into a phone, but they’re gradually getting there. If you’re planning on getting someone a smartphone as a gift remember to take everything into consideration. Operating system, keyboard, entering text, Bluetooth, memory slots, and more.
Having had several types of smartphones I think for me the ideal phone would have a keyboard like the Motorola Q and a touch screen. That gives you the best of both worlds. Just remember that any smartphone you look at is going to be a melding of PDA and phone. Look for the features that are most important and make sure the phone is supported by the cellular provider.
Cell Phone Plans
Experts say you should consider the following when looking for wireless service plans:
- Choose a service first, then choose a phone.
- Decide whether you want local, regional or national coverage.
- Estimate the number of minutes you need.
- Check the coverage area.
- Consider a prepaid plan.
- Ask friends and neighbours.
- Weigh non-voice features (Such as text messaging, picture messaging, Internet connectivity, games, music, etc.,).
